whats this hole on fuel pump?
Using the fuel pump off of my vertical reed motor on my horizontal converted motor and wondering what this hole on the back side of the pump went to? It had a gasket on it and i no longer have the vertical half or intake to look at for reference. Is this hole just a breather? Or did it go to something in the block?

Pulse hole, it's what drives the fuel pump

Hmmm.... my vertical front had the pulse line fitting and I still have it to use on this horizontal setup and i rember cutting the extra hard pulse line off. What is the center hose conector on the pump here? Oil injection IN?

should be a 90* fitting just below where tha pump mounts, no fittin' then there will be a plug.. replace tha plug with a 90 for tha vacuum/pluse hose to tha center (face) 90* fittin' on tha pump.....plug tha one under tha starter.......

The port on the back side is NOT threaded.
I really want to use a pulse pump and not have to go electric. Just a steel.bore 2.4
Also looking for this top carb linkage.

tha "little hole isn't supposed ta be.. it matches up to tha "little hole on tha pump with a gasket in between".. tha one i'm talkin' 'bout is in tha front half a few inches below where tha pump mounts and is threaded if there isn't a fitting in it already it sgould have a plug in it... what year front half? picture like tha one ya put up only showin' more of tha block a little lower than tha pump?

Ok i see it all now how it all gos together. Wasent sure if this pump would even work on this unknown front.
Also what do the 2 1/8"barbs on the INTAKE go to? I have a manual and good pics of bleed line routing but still not sure where these 2 go to?

They oil the center mains. Fairly important.

Not sure if im understanding. How exactly would the barbs on the intake #1and #3 lube the centers? Does it SUCK and pull oil from the crankcase into the center bearings?

There should be lines running from the barbs to the barbs in the block.
