there are a crap load of dishonest sellers ,and if we as a buyer take there word only to find out oh,oh whats this!!!!!
we paid 28,000 in 2002 for 23 Daytona ,twin 245 from seller in Minnesota who claims were she is ready to go low hours so I nixed leakdown test and such
being as excited as we were we took her home twins WOW!! 1st weekend all good ,next weekend something going wrong, upon further inspection
rings were past service life ,talk about feeling totally stupid and fu**ed over my wife was pissed , so I can only feel your pain .like you said you had perfect running boat ready to go sold it feeling good only to buy somebodys
sh*t box needing repair and paid fair price too. a week ago I bought a used john deere rider and the tires were kinda weather checked ,when I asked about the condition vs asking price the seller got real firm tires are fine and will last another year ,guess what I just ordered 2 new tires yesterday as they were going flat now and had green stuff oozing . so I,m kinda believing as buyers we have to make the decision to buy and except what happens or walk away

Everyone I appreciate the kind feedback, I called the seller 30 min after I paid and left with the boat after driving 9 hours each way for him to say I will have someone come look at the boat and of course nothing ever happened and started to not return my calls or text messages. I was without a boat since I sold my second euro last sept and then got my last euro in March and used it twice and sold it and drove to va for a thank god great 300xs with lee Sanderson stand up guy by the way and finally found the 21 skater I wanted and no look. No ****ing boat for the hole Summer and $$$ later ! I wish I built my new extreme hull I had but I really didn't want to wait months to save $$ to build a new boat but maybe now I should of waited. I learned a big lesson and take my time when buying anything and not believe anyone.

25 Liberators have no tank issues. Plastic tanks. Doug Wright epoxy tanks in my yellow one.

brian,do you have the original add from s&f for your boat? haven't heard of any skaters yet with coring/rot/ poor build issues, unlike other unmentioned brands, guess everything has its issues.

No taper for the thrust washer on a fat shaft

Looked all thru the "props for sale" for a picture to clarify that, but could not find even one picture of the thrust end of a fat shaft sized prop that was clear enough to see. The small shaft props all appeared to be either flat or have a slight stepped recess.
Would you have a comparative picture you could post? Thanks.

Really??? Skaters are notorious for tank and core rotting issues! Great boat's but if you're buying a used one make sure to check over the entire hull (knock test and/or moisture meter) and never take someone's word on the tanks. If the seller can't produce a receipt, you better plan on having them done yourself unless it's a 07 or newer.
