1989 Yamaha Pro 50
My dad has a 1989 pro 50 that the oil from the injection tank is draining down when it sits and coming out the lower unit. Is that usually a sign that the pump is going bad or any check valves? I am going to check all the oil lines and make sure none of them are cracked or split but I was not sure if there is a common cause for the tank to drain.

Part of the pump yes...the shaft runs thru a seal on the back of the pump.

Can you buy the seal separate? I do not see it on the parts list and it looks like the pump is nla also.

That is a good question I had a pump seal in stock but I don't know the PN off the top of my head. I'll see if I can find something...after I'm done picking up leaves in the yard lol.
