    Yamaha 2 stroke tach question(s)

    Pardon my ignorance:

    There are three leads from the unit.

    BLACK = neg?
    GREEN = positive?
    YELLOW = signal?

    Three switch settings. 4P, 6P, or 12P. Does the "P" stand for 'poles' or 'pulses'?

    (Tryin to make it work on 140 Xflow motor)

    Yellow should be power and green would be the tach signal. 12 pole setting if my memory serves.
