the powerhead I purchased from Adam Mckeon and the rest of the components are on there way to florida next week. I purchased the boat without power but fully rigged so I had to buy my own power. I will have more pictures posted as I go. Keep in mind guys this boat was build for a 200xs and 225. We are putting a 300xs more power.
the components mid and the rest are build not cut.Last edited by julianconde; 05-05-2015 at 09:11 PM.

Make sure you move some weight forward to maintain the current CG (or as close to possible). I believe the 200XSs are right around 440#s, so you'll need to compensate for the additional 60#s or so hanging off the transom. Unless Adam is doing a "lightweight" 15" build for you, then you could damn near leave all the rigging as-is........ I'm just curious, what are your plans for the boat?

we will balance the boat after we do all the mids and hang the engine. They guys at smart marine will make sure the Cg stays very close. This boat will be race with SBI. The boat will arrive in a few weeks ;-)
The mids and everything is taylor marine 3.0 conversion.

Make sure you install a DBR tuner while you've got it all apart.

Julian, you'ld better check with SBI next week about all this work you are doing to build a "120mph" boat to race in a class that has a max speed of 95mph. You my want to re think some of your options.....

What class would this boat race in? 25' boat in the Key West race will take some serious stones to run in the rough water there. Even the 32' twin engine O/B cats have a bumpy ride there. I have heard really good things about the boat you bought. I would cut the canopy off and convert it to a pleasure boat.
