Kevins good peeps for sure. One question tho. Whats up with the skeg? Looks odd. Never seen a cut like that.

It wasn't cut, but had area added. Stock OMC skegs are too small. I have done a larger mod, closer in dimension to a sportmaster swept skeg, but it felt like it might have been overdone, creating excessive drag. I also noticed that the tip of the cone is close to even with the bottom of the propshaft instead of the center. I intend to run the shaft about 1 1/2" above the pad, so that configuration may be better for maintaining water pressure and let me run a little higher. Maybe his design hits the sweet spot.. Time will tell. Maybe Kevin will chime in and answer the question. At this point, I'm thinking it's better than my last one, and looking forward to testing it out.

Thanks for the kind words guys. It should be a good case it's a virgin never been surfaced never in the water since bobs did the cone.
A lot of guys trim the sporty skeg with good results. So we don't make them huge, worked great at 100 on my action. Have fun with it fly safe!
