OH NO I've gone over to the dark side! 1988 25SG Yammy ?s

Yup I did it. Bought a rice burner... never thought in 61yrs I'd do it!!! Its a twin carb 2 cyl 25hp short, tiller with oil injection I couldn't pass up for my 11ft SLT. Should I remove the oil injection (that I do to other motors I spin up) or is it reliable so I could add some oil to fuel tank. I have been lookin for more info as injection ratio and max rpm. I will be using 91 oct ethanol free fuel and Klotz syn. oil. Any info and or suggestions would be apreciated. Thanks Gary

The oil injection itself is a very reliable system...my only question is what ratio those little motors are? If it's 100:1 than you need to add oil if you are going to rev it.

i always liked the twin carb 25..

According to the google it is a 100:1 motor....which works fine if you're running it as a 25 is meant to be.....but if you're going to run it hard than mix the tank 100-1 as well...IMO....

Thanks Dok Just the info I am lookin for... Will look up the max rpm and since the prop is surfaced on my SLT ( 20"transom) I'm gonna run a high pitch (saw up to 14") cupped prop. I am really impressed with the throttle response these little guys have and shes a looper (new to me to play with) and at 104lbs light enough for my rig.
