The Porsche engineers who designed the Verado are a different story.

From what I have seen not in FL, and on depending area/state modifying cars is illegal based on the mod. Typically those that have anything to dimwit emissions such as engine tuning, removing cats, etc. That is why a lot of parts say race use only. Also comes down to what is enforced, and again in FL never heard of an outboard being inspected for modifications.

The car guys are asking the gov to plug the hole that allows somone to mod a car even if they get that mod certified by the epa.
2016 the usa will have one federal law on emissions so no more alabama no rules here stuff.

That has to do with ecu mainly as they are arguing that changing code would be something like a copyright infringement. The other issues are how it relates to modifying safety parameters in the code. Still won't stop ecu modifications for power, etc. once warranty is up and no need to involve a dealer

Sure, thats what the fine is for.
I can see where they are concerned and that is cars with stability control, that means all those engine parameters and the control of the car are intergrated.
Thats gunna get the governments attention no doubt.

As far as who and is it worth it... Sent my 275 Verado ecm to Simon. Said it was around 315 now. Didn't see any real change in efficiency and picked up about 2-3 mph on my 24 Spectre. Not really worth it, but had I not done it I would still be wanting to!!!!!!!!
