On the SEI lower units. How does the driveshaft install? I don't have any experience with a driveshaft that is removable without disasimbly of the gear?. Please explain what all would be required in onstalling the $150 driveshaft.

the drive shaft just pushes into the lower drive shaft with a click...... If you get a lower unit that you add the drive shaft to, you will also use your old shift shaft and have to adjust it to the proper height. just measure in neutral before you pull it out and set it to the same measurement.

Do all these omc lower units come out like this? This lu that is in question is a 1976 modle. I thought it was all 1 piece all the way to the gear.
