If you really, really want the basic MADEFI for a V4 you can still get a similar setup. The MAD is the outboard version of the Simple Digital Systems (SDS) ECU, which is still going strong - made by Racetech in Alberta, Canada. They will be happy to sell it to you but won't be of much help on mapping/configuration since they're 4-stroke guys. If you meant the MAD OZ front half I don't think they make it for the V4 anymore.

Brucato is what I got on my OMC.
I know somebody that has a Mad Efi /SDS that might be interested in selling it.Last edited by TMc; 04-20-2015 at 05:40 PM.

If you do all the hardware I'm sure Brucato will supply the pack with base map?

The MAD system only uses throttle position, not a mass airflow sensor.
That means that you will have to change your curve if you use another propeller or add another 30 gallons of fuel.
If all you are doing is drag racing with the exact same setup, the MAD will do the job. Otherwise, it will not.Markus' Performance Boating Links:

I was thinking fuel knob adjust flow for any condition.makes a big difference min-to-max on mine.

I suppose that if you have a midget in the boat who has access to readings from an airflow sensor, EGT and ideally an oxygen sensor, and who is able to turn that fuel knob really fast, you can make MAD EFI work under any condition.
If the midget falls asleep, you will need a couple of new pistons.Markus' Performance Boating Links:

MAP and temp are the only way to go on an outboard once its on the water.
