ok,let me see if I can get this straight,u guys are talking about manifold air pressure sensor, mass air flow sensor, and mapping the ecm,map and maf sensor q's in with 1 journal(meaning 1 cylinder, being that's the way these block';s are designed)that does not compensate for the other 5 cylinders,so that being said, mapping the ecm for whatever fuel curve the block is ported for is the only way to hit fuel curve on the head, plus the fuel knob that control's more or less fuel variences to different situation that would be more than enough if ecm is mapped correctly from the start,i like the mad efi setup.

There are no MAF sensors used on marine engines ( deemed too dangerous), nice tool on the dyno though and other than egt you cant put anything in the exhaust of a 2 stroke.
Hence after you have visited the dyno room your system will need to reply on MAP and temps to work on your boat, so make sure they are included on any system you choose.

I've been through this before somewhat, the easiest n beast way to monitor it is head-temp guage on each cylinder that can b done for about 150.00-200.00 dollars,n a custom pod mounted on dash.

The MAD curve is only based on throttle position and rpm. That does not work in most real life applications.

You need a system with a MAP sensor. That is what Mercury uses.

Wasnt it on one model for one year and lots of trouble?
    I admire the attempt though.

Just dont understand how mass air flow for 1 journal is consistent for the other 5.

You either run an airbox like 260/280 Merc or you have to make a manifold and collect all the signals and that is from in front of the reeds of course.

I thought some packs can do an air density calculation from the map+air temp+rpm+ve table= density calculation
