Bolt torque on 2.5L Exhaust divider.

My manual shows 20nm or 180ft in for the bolts on the exhaust divider. I managed to strip the first two bolts into the block and didn't get anywhere near 20nm. I thought my wrench was off, but tried my spare and same issue. Is this a common problem? Is that torque right? Same bolts that came out. What am i doing wrong?

Thank you. Looking at it closer I have 6 places where it looks like someone previously put in helicoils. Off to find some replacements.

    Thanks,

    Chris

Not sure if anyone else will stumble on this... My block looks like it already had inserts on many of the middle bolt holes. Not sure if this was a factory issue or someone changed previously... I bought some of the (very expensive) 650 degree locktite and new inserts and plan to replace the existing inserts and use the high temp loctite.
