150vs175 exhaust tuner
I put a 175 2.5 on my used to be 150 2.5 mid and didn't change the exhaust tuner is it worth pulling the power head back off to change it? Both are efi 1995 models. I have a good bit of stuff off the 150 2.5 if anyone is interested

If your going to change it find a 200 tuner or get one from Bobs, 150 tuners are long and made for low end.

Looking at Merc parts online the 1995 carb model, it shows 150hp & 200hp using one tuner and the 135hp & 175hp using a different one.
When you look at the 1995 EFI parts, the same part numbers are shown as 13.5" and 7.5" tuners.
So it seems like the 175 was a 200 "tuned" for more grunt and a little less peak power.
