We run a single battery for both of our 280s on the race boat (got rid of 2 optimas). Battery weighs 13 lbs. and whips the motors over like nothing. Lithium pros is who we bought it from.

You would have to call Kevin and tell him what you are doing. We needed a special unit that would handle 2 60 amp. alternators being wired to a single battery. I think it was around a grand and we got set up as a dealer for them. Once you find out which model you need, send me a p.m. and I can get you a price.

Odyssey is a great light weight bat but the top and lightest drag boat racers use Braille Lithium. They are very expensive tho. Over $1,000 but work excellent and can get to 4-6 lbs I believe. If your not drag racing and dont need to lose every lb possible then I would get the Odyessy.

I have my own packs, total 7# for everything with 32V launch UP. I've sold a bunch of them to O/B drag racers. $580 tyd Simple, light, powerful and reliable.

So, can I assume these are effectively 3-cell Lithium-Ion packs (or a series-parallel bank equal to 3 cells), and a built-in balancing charger?
