    2005 was the last year they built the Gen 1 2.5 200XS. Did you put the 10 hours on the motor? What gears are in the Torqemaster?

    I believe 2006 was the last year for the Gen1, I bought it new Dec 2005, and yes I put the whole 10 hours on. Torquemaster has 1.87:1 gears

    you have a gen 2. the gen 1 was 2001 to 2003. great motor and on a hydrostream you can get 7.2 mpg. that like a 150 honda 4 cycle.

    Sorry, you are correct, 2006 was the last year for the Gen 1. My mistake, they ran from 2001 to 2006. Does your motor have the Smartcraft harness? Any Tariff tax into the US?
    Mercury then went to sleep for a bit before they came out with the "Gen 2" ROS 2.5L 200XS in 15" only with no warranty and a $20k price tag. Owned from new is pretty cool.

    I believe you refer to a few minor changes within the Gen 1's overall run IMHO. All the 5 years of the Gen 1 made 200-205 horsepower on the dyno though.

    No tariff /tax to return home to USA, but they will make you get an EPA certification, before they let it in.

    Yes Samrtcraft compatable, No DTS available on this model.

    What year was that? Was it a GenI or GenII 200XS? Was it props shaft horsepower?
