Seastar pro on Mercury 300xs. help?

    Hi guys..

i have switched my yamaha engine (250hpdi) with an 2011 mercury 300xs opti.

when i was going to put the seastar steering back on i noticed that the tiller bolt is too "thin" for the hole on the merc.
am i missing a bushing or is it supposed too be a bigger bolt there? but with a bigger bolt. it won't fit the steering..

    any ideas?

That sounds pretty important, and deadly if wrong, I would call seastar directly..

not at the moment.. the lever that coming out directly in the front of the engine.. right under the cowling.. where you mount the front steering has a too big hole for the bolt that fits the steering.. if i have the time I'm going too take some pictures tomorrow, the boat is still in storage..

What cylinder do u have? Mine is the HC6345 and i took my pro max off and bolted the 300 xs right up. The bolt threads in if im not mistaken with a nut on the bottom. I'll look and see if i have a pic, if not I'll take one today.

My setup looks identical to yours. Would you mind unscrew and se if there is the same space?
