Lower Unit Suggestion For 200 Johnson 150

My Javelin bass boat has a 2000 Johnson 150 that came on it when I bought it new in 2000. Hit a rock pile in about 2005 or so and had to rebuild lower unit. Runs for 3 or 4 years and then starts knocking. This time dealer has an SEI lower on the shelf and makes me a good deal, so off we go for another two years until the lower unit locks up 3 1/2 weeks after the warranty is out. Dealer has treated me well in the past and has a Lightning gear case off of a 2005 or so 150 HO Ficht. (He sold the motor new and had a lot of powerhead issues so the lower is in really good condition, it looks almost unused). Is this a heavier duty gear case than the "Offshore" OEM gearcase that originally came on the Johnson 150? And is the lower unit gear oil capacity the same as the OEM Offshore gearcase?

I really just want to know if the original Lightning gearcase was a tougher unit than the OEM 2000 "Offshore" gearcase.
