    turn fin?

    Hey everyone
    I'm looking for a cheap turnfin I can use on my 38" outrigger.

    I was thinking about making one...has anyone made there own before? What would I make it from? How thick/thin?

    1/6" -1/8" thick aluminum 6061, you might want to bend or curl the turn fin. Do you know how to find the center of gravity of the boat? and if you do put the trailing edge of the turn fin right at the center of gravity. Keep in mind the tun fin will need to be positioned correctly to the water surface and you should have about 2.5 inches in the water for your small nitro (below ride pad of the sponson) If you go on intlwaters.com you can probably find a cheap turn fin used in great shape for like 35 bucks. Probably worth it if you haven't made one before. I get my gas rigger turn fins from a guy in Canada they are like $100 each

    Riggers are a lot of fun, but take a little knowledge to get them running correctly
