Anyone know anything about this hull

Has anyone ever heard of a mid 80s pioneer semi v bottom...the boat looks nice and beautiful but I have never heard of a pioneer hull I was wondering are they light, heavy does it have potential to run pretty fast Exedra Exedra...right now on the back of the boat is early nineties with a mercury 225 Black Max. The lower unit is coned and it has a jackplate so i know we possibly have the right set up with some dialing in..The fella my brother wants to buy it from doesn't know much about the boat.the guy he's buying it from says its super super fast and scary fast for him would like to get a little info on the Pioneer hull before we drive many hours to pick it up can anyone give us some feedback appreciate your time.

I remember Pioneer in the 1970's and 80's. I believe they were a California manufacturer during the huge jet boat era. Like the Southwinds, Bahners, Record 7, etc. Not to many outboard version made that I recall.
Look at the shape of the bottom. Most jets had a rounded keel to help load the pump and they are not the best for an outboard. If you want to learn how to drive out a chine walk they are a great boat! Very difficult to keep up on the pad because there is no pad to ride on, just a radius.
Sometimes a manufacturer would put a plug in the mold to create a flat area area to ride on. Helped the handling but created more drag because it wasn't a step to the pad which creates a larger wetted surface.
Did you give up in the Lavey?
