Pretty interesting when S&F'ers have no interest in a 26' center pod boat running 129 and a 29' center pod boat runs 131 on pump gas, with 3 years of warranty. That 26 is an old hull design, wonder how it handles at speed?

Looks like prop technology is finally catching up. I'm thinking this next boating season is going to be interesting as more of these 27-34' cats are built, and more guys repowering are dialing them in.

When someone makes a stacker out of one I'll pay attention for a little bit.

I wonder if 400ros success will be measured when they kill as many poker run punters as sterndrives do?

I certainly am interested, especially with a 28 speedster being built (shown in another thread on this forum). I also had a DCB Mach 26 until a few years ago. With a 1025 hp BBC, the best I saw was 113 mph. It is very surprising that some many of these boats are going so fast with the 400's, center pod or not. There should be no reason why S&F members would not be interested in these boats. Certainly the majority of members don't have big offshore tunnels like skaters. More have single engine outboards, many of which are center pod boats like Talon or v bottoms like Allison or hydrostream.

Well, since it's your idea, I nominate you!! I'll even mill the exhaust log off for ya!

It would sound like the UPS truck on steroids.

I'm willing to bet in a few years when there are a bunch of used 400rs floating around you will see them bolted to everything that will float them. I'm not exactly sure on reliability of the 400r but 350-300-275 I see all over the place for sale with 1500hrs so that has to say something about them

Hmm...I kinda want to see one of those RPM 26' Redline cats with some big outboard power now. I read that someone in Cali bought the rights and molds.

This is a great question that I haven't seen answered. Early on in this thread there was talk about the 400R becoming available with a 15" mid. Would be nice to have a warranty. Any inside info on this topic?
