    Cool Challenger/Superboat 21' search

Really like the look of the these boats and the rough water capability. Are most of them in and around Long Island? Scouting around for a clean hull.

Anyone have pictures of the bottom of the hull? I did not think I saw one in the great Challenger thread. Fairly light hulls, would you need a torque/ displacement motor or a nice revving engine?

if these questions have been asked before please reference any thread.

    Help and guidance appreciated.

Here's a pic. of my 81 Canadian built challenger with aeration step, you can see the holes in the hull forward about 3ft from the notch!the holes 18 of them extend across the step in the pad!

21 SOB... great Machine.... once you have one, you will compare every other performance machine to it.
be through in your search, look for the usual older cored boat problems, and tank replacement etc.
No two are the same.. and yes torque is your friend!

This is my 21 Rally Sport which is a very similar copy. After owning a few boats I always find myself gravitating back to one of these little toys, this one happens to be my 3rd 21 SOB. For me it is all about the practicality and performance they provide. GL in your search and like mentioned be through!
BTW, donmac, that twin setup is looking real nice!!! I'm thinking twin 225 Promax's could work well on my RS, heck even just for the fun of it.....

I would love to own one of these one of these days. I boat on the Ohio River and it gets pretty rough at times. Do these boats handle 1-2 footers?

They handle 1,2 quite well. IMO that is what makes them very desirable in many parts of the country....Not to mention the timeless lines......
