    WMV 16s ON A 2.5 200 too small?

Are WMV 16s too small for a '98 2.5 200 ? These came off the remains of a XR6 that was pretty close to cut in half by a broke rod.

I'm assuming you meant WMH-16's. I put a set 0f WMH-16's on a fat block 2.0/150 and lost 3 MPH under the WMV-5's that had been on there. They came back off.

wmvs are the later model carbs which also require the later model manifold or reed plate if you will and imho are much better carbs they are however jetted for the xr6 motor and would not run as good as the the wmv5's or 18's by a long shot

I ordered a set of 5s yesterday- they are "book" for this engine
Reeds and plate- looks to me like the stock ones have been the same on 2.5s since the mid 90s up thur at least 2004

wmh and wmv use different plates the wmv require the small "notch' at the top of the carb base mounting surface for it to idle right ,all wmv linkage is the same there is a difference between wmh and wmv linkage, but ill look up the part number on my mernec to make sure im not a carb guy at all im straight efi its so much better in my opinion

the wmv 16 are for the 150 /xr6 motors and use the same manifold as the 5's the real late model wmvs are 18's and sport some bigger jets by just a tad in 5 and 2 which was the old school way years ago to put more fuel in the hotter running cylinders
