It's a 20" motor. Nichols Outboard rebuilt the motor( it wasn't blown only bored for 4.0L pistons). This is a fresh water motor. Also finger ports were added.

I did the mods to the sporty for the conversion, Paul's stuff is all 100% top notch. He is a perfectionist and the motor runs as good as it looks. If I was looking for a v8 I would send the check with no problem. Its probably the cleanest carb v8 in the states.

I love to see these V/8's are still around...wish mine had the SPORTY on it for reliability, if mine breaks that is the plan...mine is 1990 4 ltr limited edition offshore original on 23' true tunnel CAT, should go into water for testing tomorrow...can't wait...

Get with " Baja200merk" he's the one who modified my Sportmaster so it would work on the OMC...it works perfectly and looks great. I gained 9 mph when I went to the Sportmaster gearcase. I had this motor on a Bullet bass boat and with a fishing load I could run right at 100 mph. This motor has around 6-7 hours on it since it was built.
