last post this Allison was made to beat Reynolds 132mph mark. owen still owns the 2.5 carb mvp record of 126 and we were going to xr6 it 2,5.efi and that record would have fallen.owen blew the sister boat over in ten river and injested some river water which gave him a lung infection. he was never cleared to race again so I come into the picture a drag boat race in chattanoga ten racing the boat he blew over a couple months early. he was in ten on business and saw an ad for drag boat racing came to check it out. I was drivng his old boat that darris fixed and sold to me wanted to know who was driving that Allison, my wife told him the story and we got your boat and sold the old one.funny how chit works out. lost my best friend when he passed. good luck guys baitman out.

She's now living in Florida with a good family. The new owners father and 2 brothers have Allison's.
If he ever decides to sell it I've got first right of refusal to buy it back. /;-)

I ended up putting a stock 200 EFI powerhead on until he gets use to the boat however, the first day out and his first time driving it he ran it 96 on GPS.

David's old XR was a 94 model I believe. Last I seen it was painted orange

if you are asking about david pou,s boat that sounds about right. I raced with david and he also did all my mechanics and setup. david also could drive the socks of of an Allison. his boat was rumored to weigh in at 460. really light before carbon and light trasoms were developed. he raced pro fuel and pro gas. at this time I was 1600 mod 1400 mod . later got bruce mcnicktors 1/4 master and went progas. I don't think anyone really knows how much I enjoyed kicking someones ass on the circuit or on the river. but this boat holds the most special place in my career as a drag racer for 10 years straight. to all my old buddies miss you .
