hello eric I went to jasper about 5 yrs ago to watch david pou race and to heip him get in and out . I was so miserable on the hill we had to leave , I also bought a super stock rig and went to jasper. after pro gas the difference was so great I felt like getting out and having a drink and nab on the way to the finish line, not knocking it but the rush of pro gas acceleration super stock just wasn't the same for me.red wiggerler out

How did this boat do in Mod-VP competition? Maybe you should advertise it on the west coast web sites. Boat Racing Facts, River Daves Place and COR would be three. Your boat would be leagle in the popular 2.0L COR class they have.

it was built for exactly that. the pad is a little wider than a drag . if you have to be capsuled it has been fitted before so im sure darris Allison could hook it up .turning is no problem you just lift turn and hang the hell on.it has been raced against stvs mirages lazers and could definelty hold its own ,its the driver who makes the boat competive.red wiggerly out

    Great info earl.

too many toys take a measurement on the width of the pad. That would make perfect sense if it were around 1.5" wider than a drag. More like a xr2002

That's your selling point to keep the boats value up. It's a factory 1off rarity.

bigtis you should know allisons as good as anyone around .im sure you know about the lip darris would work for certain people. nose down tail up . gave the boat about 3 mph on the big end. and improve prop to water inline . I know you have experienced the dreaded left turn or right turn blowout at high speeds ,you never knew just grit your teeth and wait. unless some has removed it the pad was wider and deeper than my 2001 but bondo can and will be removed by someone not in the know. I sold my 1/4 to a bozo in Conway sc and the first thing they did was grind off 3000.oo worth of lee bottom work.the boat just stood up on its tail and never was competive again.baitman out

Checked the width of the ModVP pad....9.5", the same as my 07 XR01 drag.
my XR02 is, as you figured 11" wide.

I had two of his boats it may been the first one that had the wide pad but it cant be that one if it has 9.5. darris would do stuff for clients to suit there needs as he added lifting strakes on older boats to update them. david pous yellow asslison had a lot of extras other people hadn't seen as experimental tryouts. good luck it will sell. its an Allison
