Boy I got shortchanged then. I measured mine 3 times with a friend of mine one day and was surprised it was like 21' 2". I'll try it again but i just couldn't get my 22 away from being more like a 21.

Just measured again. RocketMan is on the money. We must have had a few to many beers in the garage the day we measured. Sorry dreamerdfl!

No worries. Thanks to all. Never did get it into the garage but with the better weather she is well on her way back to life. I'll put up some pictures when I'm done.

I flipped mine racing in the OPA class 7 Nationals last year. So I took the deck off and replaced all the stringers, bulkheads and transom,. Re-glassed and reinforced the deck on the inside. And then glassed and bolted the deck back onto the hull. Now just have to put new gages in and find a motor...ha...lots more to do. but I'm looking forward to racing it again in the OPA class 7. It's a great organization with now about 18n boats in the class. 60 mph bracket racing intended for the little guy to get racing affordably. the 22 Velocity's are very competitive and at times even dominant in rough water. It's a blast, you should look into it. no entry fee, race for trophy's and rune the same courses with all the safety as Miss Geico, STIHL. Cleveland Construction...the big boys... who by the way treat you like equals...great great organization. Look up OPA Racing. I'm Maine "E" AXE in class 7. Picture before the crash of course.

Yea I know a few guys that race OPA. Not really interested in setting one up for that purpose. Having more fun trying to get one to go 100 with a single. Thats the goal for my sons with in the next couple of years. Mine runs a little over 90 and I'm happy with that. If I was going to get into class 7 I would have to pick up another boat and with my six and my sons one, enough is enough. Good luck this year. If we get out to see any races I'll look for you. We went to the Atlantic City run last year, were you at that one? Spoke to a few Class 7 guys in the pits and some with Velocitys. Wonder if I met you already.

I was there but my boat was still in the works. didn't get to my first race until Detroit and then had the miss-hap in MD a month later. 90mph and 100? WOW! My boat will run low 70's which is plenty fast for me. you can set your boat up with hot foot and run...just under 60. come out and give it a try, its a blast. GPS, under 60...Navigator, no throttle man...several boats do it. No entry fee. Looking to add boats to the class. Spread the word and come to another race. thanks for your help. D
