    Mikey,
Check out OPA's website: www.OPAracing.org the GPS's can be bought or rented thru OPA for 100.00 per race.
    What boat/engine do you have?

Change the rules to allow 23ft boats, dont allow motors over 250hp, dont offer any way to test or dyno the engines.. and if you do all this I might consider racing, or I might not.

Please allow 23' boats so we can bring out our 23' Kryptonite.........then all the 21s will be obsolete.

I understand they are considering a 23-25 foot single outboard v bottom class. Perfect for a 24 superboat.

Yeah wrong. Maybe you havnt noticed there are no outboards running in class 6. This is said to be strictly outboards if they get enough boats.

Another class that's just what we need and if you wanted to run in 6 it could happen.
years ago I approached smitty about a guy that wanted to run a single outboard in 6 he said fine .
vnemous pick a class and go race keyboard racing cant be that much fun .
Also if you haven't noticed there are exceptions to the rules twin outboards in class 5 and a cat ran with us a few times not in the rules for either boats so rules can be bent as long as its not a blaten advantage.
We also have a blower motor boat in class 6 that's not in the rules.
So running a singe outboard in 6 wouldnt be a problem because starting a new class for one or two boats that wont happen.
You have a boat and with your tie in with fullers put power on it that's approved for the class and come out ?

It is all about boat count. If a number of over 21' SOB's committed to show up, I don't see OPA turning them away. There has been discussion of allowing them in 7 as a class within a class. I don't know where that discussion stands at this point.

Just to clarify, last year a couple of guys expressed interest in racing their 23-26' outboard boats. We needed at least 3 guys to commit before approching OPA (just like we did with class 7). One of them was Andrew Biddle, google the name, its obvious he won't be racing.
If the guys with 23-26' Outboards want to race, get 3 guys to commit, and than approach OPA. As SBRacing said "its all about boat count".
