300hp and only 300 lbs....
Stumbled onto this article... Thought it was quite interesting..
300hp from a 300 lbs 2 stroke supercharged diesel outboard...
Regardless, probably wont really suit performance applications but an interesting concept...

Very Interesting ---- The article was from 2013 and I'm wondering why we haven't (or at least I haven't) heard any more of it? Gary

Don't most military contracts work out expensive?

They said estimated availability to the outboard market in 2016. Guess we have a while to wait.

Bad ass. 300hp at 4000rpm I feel bad for the gearcase having to put up with 400 ftlbs probably between 1800-2800. With common rail injection and more boost you could probably double the power with more fuel.

It's a yoke motor, not exactly known for longevity.

It'll be interesting to see the ad campaign for 'Cox' Power.

I would think they would put a roller bearing on the pin to get rid of the sliding wear.

with all that toque it should be able to run a 1 to 1 geared lower. at 4000RPM the prop speed would be right up there with a high RPM gas eng.

Makes tuner chips so it blows pounds of soot, make some led lightbars for it, it'll sell like beer in a college town
