Frank,
I'm not familiar with John C. I know it was after his time, but maybe Mr. Tiger has some knowledge squirrelled away of the post-Pipkorn era. Do you have the HIN??? If the MIC is EZE, it was built under Jim Contzen ownership in either TN or CA.1976 Hydrostream Viper - 2.5 EFI

I think Frank means Jim Contzen. Please correct me if I am wrong.
So--sorry if this offends anyone out there who owns a "newer" HydroStream (to be more precise: built when HydroStream was operating as a "new" company under the ownership of Jim Contzen), but any boat built in this period and under consideration for purchase would be in need of a full inspection, including transom and core. While I know some of the people working for Jim were good and talented people, Contzen himself was, to put it nicely, not the most forthright businessman. His practices included not paying people, not following up on claims, running from phone calls and requests, and generally just not being an up-front guy. I would be very careful.

When did Pipkorn leave Hydrostream?

IIRC John Spaeth built some of the early next gen boats, which may or may not have been paid for.

We might as well throw Phil @ PK Marine into the mix as well.
