    1989 Checkmate Predictor

I am upgrading to a larger boat and my predictor is now on the market. It will be sold as hull and trailer only. the floor and transom of this boat are solid and this would make someone a nice addition to their fleet. I have not pulled the rigging out of the boat yet, and it is shrinkwrapped for the winter, however if it sells, I will open it up and take out what i need. With a deposit, I would also be willing to store it here for the remainder of the winter.

I am asking $2500 or best offer for the boat and trailer only, no steering, no controls, no gauges, no jackplate. This is a great looking boat and has served me well.

hit me up with any questions

    Chris

    happy to help

i had a 6 inch manual jackplate, prop was a trophy plus 26 pitch, but i sent it to merc racing to be labbed, top speed was low 70's I had the propshaft right at the pad, so there was no cruising, skiing, etc. it was set up for WOT. the motor also had some mild work done, jetting, exhause relief, etc.

you can see from this video how high the motor was

what are you running for a motor?

sure, i have attached two pics from a poker run in September (these are from this sept, the date on the camera is incorrect) and a photo of how it sits right now as well as a quick video. Remember, this is New Hampshire... Click image for larger version.

    Great looking Predictor
    Thanks
Not intending to hijack the thread, but a Predictor loves a bow lift prop like a chopper. Add some cup and it likes it even better. I had and '82 Predictor back in '83 with a 200 Crossflow , 28 triple cupped Hooter that would run 80 mph. Other guys running the same boat with a 200 Black Max and a 26 chopper would see about 79 mph. The little Predictors love trim and fly the bow really nice without the feel of a blow over. I think they could handle more power and easily run 90+ on good water. Whoever buys this boat can have a lot of fun.

Hi Chris, what horsepower is it rated for, and how much do you believe it can take? Would the boat handle a 3.0 liter merc or be better limited to 2.5L? What HP were you running?

Would you be willing to leave in the steering, controls and/or jackplate, and if so for how much?

    Cheers,
    Parker

Parker, i had an XR2 2.0 150 on it. i know of many that have had 2.4 &2.5 200's no problem. I would be willing to talk about the rigging. I do think a 3.0 would be too much for it. PM me if you would like to discuss it further I would offer to show you, but i really don't want to cut it out of the shrink wrap just yet... being from NH too, i think you propably understand
