I know , he knows everything , I MEAN EVERYTHING about every ...offshore company , boat , Designer , builder etc..... Owners , prototype , I'm sure I left a few things out .

He even knew about Al Copeland's boat running up in the weeds at Lake x because He couldn't getthe thing to slow down I thought I was the only one that knew that

I can understand that ok...we were testing ART GIRRARD's 38 Cigarette top gun "AIRBOURNE", switching drives in & out...at 105 thru the lights it was all we could do to slow down to keep out of the weeds...that lake wasn't that big...freaky...cool place...some sort of a preserve, had wild deer all over the place...memories

I am pretty sure I remember this boat in a different color with twin V8 OMC's from out west.

I tried to contact to the ad but it will not link up. Can someone tell me how contact this seller??

Checkout those mags on the trailer. Vintage. Wonder how long that thing has been in the weeds and if the OMC's turned the transom and knees into junk

Any of you over raced or rode in this boat??? I contacted Cougar back in the day and got a lot of info from them originating from the UK.

I rode in a 27' Cougar just like that one ( Steve Curtis's First race boat) me and Brownie towed it to lake X for testing. Bill Sirois was there so Brownie thought Me and Bill should test it. Bill was driving and working the stop watch, He told me to hold the throttles wfo until he told me to lift. we were coming up to the tree line doing about 100mph, I didn't lift, I wasn't gonna let Him down

. He finally looked up, gave me the sign to let up (thank God) did a 180 and went screaming across the lake in the other direction.. Id like to know the HIN on that boat, only 5-6 were ever made here. in England they made a 25' version. all the u.s. ones were 27'.. Courageous Cat was extended to 28' to be P class legal..

Most Cougar's in that era were rigged by Bob & Jacks Custom Rigging ( Bobby Moore & Jack Stuteville ) sure there were some others they didn't do. but they were the main riggers (mostly cause they were in with every Big race team )
