300XS fuel injectors
I have a 2012 300xs with the DBR remap and Nass Cowl. It doesn't seem to be running smoothly at idle and I can't get the hole shot or top speeds out of it like last year, before the remap. I had to replace the fuel filter last year, was starving for fuel, no codes show up, It just doesn't seem to me like it's running correctly. I've talked to my mechanic about getting the injectors cleaned and tested but there doesn't seem to be anyone around that can do this reliably. A guy he spoke with said he hasn't had any luck reliably calibrating injector flows. Does anybody have any experience or suggestions regarding these injectors? Could the problem be elsewhere? I just feel like I'm not getting the power I should be out of the engine. Any help would be much appreciated

Start with simple stuff. Compression test and also look at spark plugs how their burning the fuel. How long did you run DBR ecu before you notice problem.

After the usual look over, fuel/air pressures/compression,
1st place to start is with spark plugs, 2nd is pull the intake and visually inspect the reeds. Brucato has cleaned both injectors for me and along with replacing some usually toothless reeds brings these turds around nicely.

Forgot to mention I did change the plugs, the old ones were fine. I didn't notice a difference at all from the start with the DBR remap. I think I'll talk to Brucato.

I had fuel starvation issues with mine, check the gasket between the pulse pump and the vst tank. gasket was crushed and not sealing, not getting a good pulse on that side of the diaphragm.

Interesting, as I'm thinking of the DBR kit for this year. Mines a 2007 w/137hrs. What has DBR said so far?

Speaking from experience the first thing you should do is try someone else's ECU. I have heard of some issues with the remap. This way you eliminate the most important part first.
If the motor does the same thing then start looking elsewhere.
If the flash is bad you will have to talk to DBR and send the ECU back.
Just my two cents.

I had a lazy motor this summer on my Spectre. It just wasnt as strong as the starbord motor. Changed plugs and filters and it still ran like crap. It ended up being a weak coil. Changed the coil and it came back to life. How do you like the DBR stage 1? I am pulling my ECU's off this weekend to send to Joe. Kinda of on the edge of the fence for the flywheel.
