Dark - I agree with Pete, that trying a higher motor setup is a good idea. Two reasons why it may help l- 1) higher prop shaft generates less bow lift, less tendancy to chine walk; 2) chine walk is a dynamic instability that is often resolved by changing dynamic balance of the hull (engine height is one of the actions that will accomplish this.)
Here's some more suggestions for addressing chine walk in this article.

I will say that the guy that builds my motors raced mod vp for roake in the late 80's and that weight # is spot on, after the I think 1987 season roarke rounded up or tried to round up all of the light ones and crushed them,I think after Chris bush and a couple of other blow over and crashes, granted these boats were running right 120 on the straights with bridgeports!!!!

Hey strong....u dip....i could of bought this boat a while back.....he told me the other had been blown over...ur a idiot....plain and simple....oh i guess being friends with thomas....the guy who actually built the boats for roark...is bs too...clown

I think roark only had two factory drivers chris bush and rusty campble (spelling) u also had to weight a certain amount maybe 1350 cant remember.... so i think i was told the boats were built 550 or 650...again cant remember exactly

That was NATIONAL drivers,they were several on the east coast that had roarke backing,dealers mainly,and it worked I think!!!!! By the way my 86 sprint weighed 650 lbs!!!!
