    Static plates / fixed set back

    i am looking for some ideas for a fixed set back to mount a jack on, a lot of guys like the stainless marine box but im looking for something different, thanks guys

    I used the Bob's 14" with great results. You will not need the extra jack, all in one and if you need a few more " just put the 2" spacers they sell!


    If $ is no object for an awesome bracket this is the Porta Bracket.

    this is what I'm going with…. just need to get around to installing it !
    light and strong and relatively inexpensive, easily machined with wood working tools
    you can find sizes to 12" maybe bigger if you search ?

    Got you! I'm at 21" myself. 14" setback with the 7" notch.
    If you end up going with the S/Marine make sure to use rubber "O" rings on the saddle bracket bolts to keep the water out. Sealant alone never worked for me.

    I have seen a number of boats with this type. They come in all difference lengths. Commonly called Gill bracket.

    Im leaning towards the hydro dynamics static plate, just looking for other ideas.

    Randy corson has used them up to 24 with no problems and there good loking
