Need to buy starboard Merc 2.5 260 piston

Hey guys just bought another 2.5 260 and opened it up and it has Mis matched pistons. Looking for 1 or 2 starboard pistons. Not Mahle. Can be side pinned but must work with 5250 big rods. The part number I need is 1299 star 352-1. Best to call. 860 202 4683. Thanks mark

Mark I have a brand new in the box. The part Number is 2717-827352T 3, I think this was for the first 280s I don't know if it is the same as what you are looking for

I have as complete set of side pin 280 pistons I took out of my '99 motor with 157.7 hours on them...they are clean and but the rings are a lil too wore to reuse. I would rather not split them up but for a fellow S&Fer I would if you are desperate bud
I have a boat or two.... that I never get to drive

Myron I'm trying to see if your part number is the same thing as mine. But I think they are different. Still looking though

I thought the only pistons that fit the 5250 rods were Mahles? my engine/machinist guy made a jig to hold the Wizards while he mills them to fit the big rods, if you need to go that route, let me know.

Buzzing dozen. That's what I thought. But this motor had 1 Mahle piston and 5 I think Merc racing pistons. 5250 top guided rods that measure .812 at the top .712 at the bottom. I could also machine the rods down to fit newer style pistons. Thanks for the info. I'll try to upload a pic or the piston I'm looking for. Just trying to keep things somewhat simple since I got boned on this deal lol

I wouldn't fool with the rods, I believe they have to be ground not machined. there's also another route, I gave all my Mahle pistons to a buddy of mine, who now has 280's(161 rods), I'm sure I can get a slug back from him, they were in good shape, if nothing else materializes.

Still looking for a 352-1 starboard piston. The 3 that I just bought off here I wouldn't run in my lawn mower.
