Anybody got a pic or advice on cutting the exhaust cavity for a V4 crossflow looks pretty restrictive to me

If you are working on an early crossflow, up through 77, you can remove the rib in the exhaust chest, such as was done to this 135. Makes it similar to the 78 140 blocks.

Dont cut any lower . You'll hit water. Then you'll get to weld it up. Trust me.

Pehaps you could elaborate on the "water leak." Does it leak at the bottom of the head-down onto the lower cowing, or is in an internal leak that's getting water into that lower cyl? Different fixes.

Don't wanna hijack Don's thread ... but ... It's leaking externally. Dago fly cut the heads last week so they should be okay. ~125 psi on all 4 now. Tiny leak from the stb head's gone but port's still leaking a good drip. As advised I even used RTV on the water jacket this time?
If'n I gotta tear this thing down again'n mill the block I'm gonna have a friggin conniption fit. I mean I'll do it if I have to, but I'm still gonna have a friggin conniption.
Dumb question but should I not be runnin a hose straight to the water tube?
Hey Don I got yer filler blocks down at the shop so whenever ya wanna swing by. Lemme know if you need anything else.'71 Glastron V153 - Composite rebuild - Unceremoniously wrecked

Well we're gonna try again tomorrow. Got another head gasket.
Gonna try'n bridge that gap with sumpthin. Ain't decided what just yet. Too bad ya cain't fill it with bullchit, cuz I got plenty of that ...
Went ahead'n stuck the lower on. (No fugly motor jokes please ...) Figger it'd be less pressure against the water jacket runnin on muffs?
Have my doubts, but we'll see. If it leaks this time it's gonna leak til it corrodes shut ...'71 Glastron V153 - Composite rebuild - Unceremoniously wrecked

Hey It looks great! I like the marine tex repair--- has worked for me! Relax You will find the problem- It's most likely something weird. I use the new Universel Blue gasket dressing--- Permatex also makes it. Gary

JB Weld doesnt belong in the same book as marine tex. Marine Tex is a hands down superior product.
