Islamorada Jan 3rd through the 10th
1st time down with the Allison, staying at the Kon Tiki. Planning on doing a little fishing, snorkeling, running and of course bar hopping. Any things I need to know or see? Better yet any body going to be down there to give me the tour?
Thanks in advance

Ur killin me!
Corona Mike is the expert of that area and has frequent flyer miles at Kon Tiki. I'm sure he'll be along.
PS, a killer strip bar in that area tooI'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

World wide Sportsman upstairs on those big ole leather sofas looking west having some fish dip with a few brews, lifetime memories. check Mr. Action's recomdations. also the "Fish House" in key largo is a great experience. soak it all in, cause every place else sucks, once you leave, you will understand that comment. fun out

Well... I Like The Local Places.... Hog Haven For Lunch. The Blackened Mahi-Mahi Is Killer! The Island Grill Is Great Also. Good Friend Of Mine...And The G/F Of A Good Buddy...Angi Is The Bartender There And Loves Allisons! Scott Should Be Around There Somewhere And He Can Show You Around! Plenty Of Gift Shops To Visit, Also Like Fun Said, World Wide Sportsman And The Zane Grey Lounge! Take A Day And Go To Key West. It's Like No Where Else! The Kon-Tiki Is BY FAR!! My Favorite Place! Unfortunatly, I'm In The Process Of Buying A Lake House Or, I'd Be There!! If You Go To Key West, Check Out Mel Fishers, Captain Toneys, Sloppy Joes, Hogs Breath, ETC... Buy Your "T" Shirts (There Are Thousands Of Different Ones) And Head Back To Islamorada. Let Me Know If I Can Help You Recomend Places To Eat, Drink And Be Mary!! Enjoy Yourself! You WILL HATE TO LEAVE! I Know I Always Do! Mike T.

All good recommendations. If the weather is warm, you can hit up the sandbar at the Whale Harbor inlet. That's where a lot of us normally hang out. You can also hit the world famous Holliday Isle Tiki Bar at the Postcard Inn.

Islamorada-Green Turtle for breakfast, Lazy Day's supper, Morada Bay for supper, Robbies to feed the fish. Key west you got to go to Blue Heaven for breakfast. Just a few on the tip of my tongue. I'll be there Dec 26-Jan 3. I always take my Allison but this year I just had knee surgery and I'm on crutches. What I like to do is check the weather forecast and out of 7 days there usually is 2 that is super smooth. On those days I run from Islamorada to Gilberts (Key Largo) than back to Islamorada sand bar. Love the two mangrove runs in the Allison. One is by Robbies and the other is by the bridge where the Islamorada sand bar is. I think this is my 10th time going and the first without a boat (sucks).

Thanks guys for all the info, I flat can't wait. I will post some pics while there. I hope get a good day to hit the sandbar, and can already taste that blackened maui maui. We did get a small taste of Islamorada last year, we were in Naples and road the Harley to the Kon Tiki (main reason we are going back). We also took the Key West express down a couple of years ago and spent the day. I can't wait, woke up this morning to the lake I live on icing up, I'll be ready to swim if the water is 50 degrees. Lol a

I Talked To My Buddy Scott. He Also Has A XB02' Told Him To Keep An Eye Out For You! If You Need Any Thing Boat Related, Don't Forget Chris Carson Is Rite Up The Road. If He Doesn't Have It, He Will Know Where You Can Get It Without Being Ripped Off! Have A Great Time!!
