Last nik blocks were ran last June. I understand there might be a special run going if you are well connected with a race team. Maybe only offshore customers.

I though I saw somewhere where the Hulk race team ran the last two new 280's merc had at key west. Offshoreonly has a few guys hinting at a new high performance motor to be released at the Miami boat show.

If you want a new 280 or drag you better hurry up when I was up there in August they had three drag blocks left and a couple of 280's and that might be the last run what I am telling everyone is write letters and e-mail and call mercury racing and Brunswick they are the ones pulling out of two strokes without a voice this is a dead deal 2014 was supposed to be the last run of all two strokes racing motors the dirty one's

Wouldn't it be nice if someone had the time and money to set up a CNC machine to build these blocks.

The build orders for the 2015 SST and ROS were due like November 13th and they offered powerheads as well...however, prices probably went up 20% from last year.

Around $8000 for a block, over $14000 for a rotating set up , minus electrics.

And the EPA stuff doesn't makes sense or me. Replacement parts are allowed, canada doesn't have EPA, nor does half the world.
How can merc sell a 150 four stroke for 9900 dollars and make money ( with a warranty, and tooling costs fresh) and not be making a killing on the hi per stuff at half the price, the tooling was LONG since paid for.2023 TUFF 25
