Hey madcat55 welcome to S&F !! You might need Instigator or mark 75 to help you out. I don't think you would need the stacks if you build a tuner. Have fun and "go get em"! Gary

Thanks guys I look forward to hearing from some experts.. That vid was tops. I'm putting it on a thundercat. At the moment I'm getting 65mph gps out of 50 tohie but wanna run 2up at 60mph+ Cause it's a bit too flighty with 1 at that speed so the merc was the best choice to run big props with 2 larger guys..120kg and 115kg crew weight .. Only social meets down the river with a few other guys..

Madcat 55. Are you talking about the 3 cylinder lost foam cast engine.
Shoot a serial number so that we can see which generation it is.

But really do not think that there is much that can be done. No easy bolt on parts from a bigger engine that will work.
Real performance gains will come from good props and setup. Engine has good torque so will be able to spin some nice big props.
Low water pick-ups will be the best bet.
Merc does a 3 blade SS Cleaver prop from 14" to 22"and 3 different diameters from 11-12
A 22"P prop at 5500 and 8% slip will be at 65 MPH
    A 20 would do about 60
The latest generation blocks are 960 cc vs the Tohatsu which is about 750

There is also a 3 Blade SS Chopper available in 18"P

Whereabouts are you madcat? I have done a bit of racing with my brother in law in his cat with a seapro 55/60 merc, it goes very well, I reckon he could give you some tips.....Wayne cammidge has got it pretty right though, setup and props are the biggest gain for sure.
we are both heavy guys as well and we averaged 60mph in the 2013 bridge to bridge so your goal is definitely achievable, what hull do you have?
