Best time of the year to sell a boat?

Just curious of the best time of the year to post and sell a boat? Early spring? I would assume that this time of the year, during the holidays is the worst?

    Thanks, Allen

I've been known to buy boats just before/after Christmas... middle of summer, fall.... But reasoning leads me to think that Spring time is the best once it warms a tad and folks get that fever-!

I've bought and sold boats all thru the year, but right after the boat shows is a good time to sell. People have gone to the shows, looked at the new boats, gotten sticker shock and them decided to look around to see what's out there in the used market. I agree with tax time as well.

Typically spring BUT the best time is when that one guy that wants its really wants it and has the cash. I just sold a little Glastron Labor Day weekend. I am glad I did not wait until spring to advertise it.
