    Billit heads.?

Might someone have a billit head for a 2.5 with the water jacket cover off that you can take
a picture of and share.? Need a set of heads for my 2.5 project and just thinking of making a set.
I have my 2 piece 2.4 heads apart on the bench and im wondering if its really just that simple.
    thanks.!

    Dago.

What I would like to build are heads with each cylinder having a replaceable combustion chamber as is seen with sled and motorcycle 2 stroke engines. This way each chamber is a lathe turning that can be quickly swapped as desired for tuning. Being my next project will have a 4 stroke on the back I am not the one to build this.

They get a small bead of silicone. Look for Galen heads if you want removable chamber. I'm sure you could handle making either one on your lunch break lol

Whats old...is new again. All these head types/ideas have been produced over the years, for both JohnRude and Merc V-6's.

I have an old pair of Taylor Yamaha heads somewhere. It is the pre-water jacket model that ran way too hot.

    Does the new style work?

In the late 80's and early 90's I was into Jet Ski's and the made Interchangeable Domed heads. They sealed with a copper O''rings. They worked great, if I raced at sea level or up in the mountains, I had good compression. I don't remember who made them.
