Lars Do think F1 might come back to the states? Would def. grab some friends and attend! Have had ENOUGH of the auto races--- but I did drag race cars(after we raced stock boats) and really MISS boat racing. Gary

I have asked this before, it would be amazing! But I hear the host town has to put up something like a million dollars. A place like valleyfield Quebec could do it. Seafair in Seattle, maybe St. Louis, or bay city.

I went this year for the Grand Prix boats and the champs and was blown away. Have over 100 thousand people. Grandstands all the way around the track and was jammed with people. Even in the rain it did t let up. I had no idea how big that race is!

You can probably take St. Louis off the list. When Anheiser Busch was taken over by InBev it put an end to boat racing here and pretty much all motorsports sponsorship from them! There hasn't been a Champ boat race here in about 4-5 years. It's sad but thats where the $$$ came from in the past and I don't see anyone to put that kind of money into racing around here.

A shame really, is it the fact nobody wants to pony up the coin or nobody has pressed hard enough to get someone on board ?
many years ago they ran sst120's and champ boats here in the Hillsborough river between Harbor isle and Davis isle. Killer spot until they spotted a sea cow on the course and that was that. Thanks Nanette Holland-
Imagine tying in the Red Bull Wakeboard Series / Futag (that they already do) along with a Champboat race for a two week deal after Gasparilla Why not toss in air racing over the bay to boot- if a promoter wants to run with my idea i get 10 perc.

Merry Christmas on this WET mornin up here in N.E.!!! RBT I do not read French well. After the Hollidays lets put together a plan for S&F members and friends to attend a race. Maybe we can get some of the southern boys to attend to escape the heat! Gary
