I would suggest you launch else where, I've got this little cluster going on right at the ramp, hardly room to turn the gator around! you'll see it when you go by in the water!

it a non profit club, so I'd have to give the drinks away.LOL you know that can't happen in Ont. There not new units just added a second floor! I already have a large clubhouse on the lake side.

Put the boat on the water yesterday. Runs well. Next week some graphics and tidy up some wiring.

So I did some test runs with the boat on the weekend, but will do some more the coming weekend also.

the Trophy 26p prop is actually not to bad at all. Got up easy with a double boot slalom ski and 4 adults in the boat.

Holding speed is good on the prop also.

With the motor trimmed all the way down the steering is extremely tough, like you have you use two hands on the wheel. Trim it out a bit and it's nice and easy.

When going at high speed trimmed out the steering becomes stiff also, but I assume this is normal. No chine walking or porpoising at speed. Need to play with trim some more to get a good high speed pass about 60mph to get a good WOT speed.

So this Spring I have been busy giving the Jcraft an update. Went to John Spaeth and getting a new rear bench and alum ski bar. In the meantime I decided I am going to check the floor, fill in the old holes from the tripod ski car and also fix the crazing of gel on the front deck.

I am using Epifanes 2 part epoxy primer and will be using their 2 part urethane paint as Interlux is now banned in Canada unless you are buying it commercially.

Primered. One coat. Time to sand, block and prep for paint hopefully next weekend.

Looking good Greg. It's time to get it on the water. I will be performing major surgery on my J-craft at the end of this boating season.

No kidding! hopefully two weeks.. we got a few other boats to use in the meantime. Weather was not favorable the last couple weekends for paint.. wet and freezing cold.

Here is the fitting of the new fiberglass shell for the seat.

So I rolled my first coat of Epifanes 2 part poly urethane white onto the boat. Flowed well and has a great deep gloss. Next weekend going to do a second coat on the topside deck for extra protection and thickness of the paint.

Paint job looks good but are you sure the Epiphanes 2 part epoxy is ok to use below the waterline? I thought it was for above waterline only.
I have used this Interlux paint product for the bottom instead of using gelcoat.
