    Who Knows Snakes??

This is the 2nd one of these that I've killed at our new place in southern Ohio.
Hate killin em if they're harmless but I figure where there's little snakes, theres big snakes. Plus I let our 2 dogs run and I don't want them to find the big ones.

I looked on-line and it looks very close to being a rattle snake.

They were both tiny. Maybe 8".

I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

...that for sure isn't a Rattlesnake as it has no rattles. It looks like a Kingsnake. They are harmless and eat plenty of rats and mice.

Dude, look at the eyes. Round and like humans? Not poison's type. Slits like a cat eye.."...thats gonna be a problem. When I bought my crib 20 years had all moved house stuff was in the built, but unfinished shop to "do the house". Well, turned out the rug layer rode Harleys too, and been friends since. But he helped me move my favorite piece "Real Estate"...(couch) house and heres a Garter snake coming out the way inside couch!

On a snake the shop? Going after the mice.............let them go...scare ya when found but" toss'em a dead mouse. BAIT, .."go get'em! Nature handles all "human problems"...

x2 next he will be starting a post about the mice chewing up his boat. Rule of thumb that if you see non poison snakes you will not see poisonous snakes. But soon as you kill the good ones off the bad ones move in

Had a 6 ft black snake in the garage in De I never had a mouse, toad or anything. I hate snakes but he kept rodent control. Gary I miss my checkmate it was a boat I beat and hung up wet but never failed. This donzi is turned to a trailor queen. Your shop is to die for it is great

Thanks for all the info guys. They looked odd to me and my dogs are my kids if you know what I men.

Thanks for the compliment on the shop Rick. 42* and raining here so next is to figure out how and what part to heat

PS, guess I need to chunck some of those snakes into the barn for rodent duty. One of the dogs got another mouse yesterday but I can see where they been munching on my paper towels so they're building another nest some where.
Trying moth balls now. Worked in the Sonic for the critters down south so we'll see how it works on miecers now.

Ya snakes are creepy, but mosta them won't mess with you. They prefer rats & varmints, etc.

Look for a markedly triangular head before you consider a snake poisonous.

Killing Iguanas is okay though. I whacked one couple weeks ago with a CB cap through the Single Six. Hit him in the right ear, exited just under his left. Was a heckuva shot. From bout 20'.
