I would recommend you go directly to the source, John Coen owner of superboat, I have found him to be helpful many times. 631-226-1761, best of luck I saw the boat on craigslist and liked it,

I had old 200's on my 24. Thought it would be faster but only made it to 70mph. Had good acceleration with 26p choppers counter rotating but drank the fuel hard. Now has a 300 verado. A lot better fuel econ and great torque with a 4blade. I lost about 5mph but should get it back after a few mods..Click image for larger version.

Send him a bottle of good Rum and a large bottle of coke with a note saying, have a few questions, will be in touch.... If I remember correctly 76 is when he started building Superboat's. It was always said, twins were a real handful to drive due to the 7' beam.

John said a 24 with twins is the worst handling boat out there. The boat is to Narrow.

I had a few 24's both with single and twins, I would go single alot less headaches, because of the narrow beam, it wanted to chime walk alot up top. Listen to BSKATER18!!!!!!

IMPO, If the price is right and the boat checks out then buy it. Sell the motors or used them for double anchors and install a single 3.0L, you will like the way they run through the snooty waters.
