    Allison prop height

How do you figure prop height on an Allison . Mines an XB-2003. Just asking about there reference point. Do you go off the pad or the lip at the end of the pad?

I use the pad surface, not the lip. It really doesn't matter as long as you're consistent with your point of reference, unless you're trying to relate one boats handling to anothers. Try even with the pad at the start assuming you using 10-14 inches setback and go from there, You'll be close.

It should be the pad surface, however, if you have a stock lip, it is probably in the .060" range or about 1/16" of an inch. So if you go by the lip, just add 1/16" to your measurement and you will be REAL close.
