Putting a merc power pack on a force
Got a 94 90hp Merc sport jet (force motor) I think the switch pack is blown.The force power pack has eleven wires coming out of it,one being a ground.Im wondering if a Merc 3cyl pack,that has ten wires plus a ground,could be wired to work.I see the later force motor uses that pack.Ive got a dozen of that style on the shelf.Anyone ever tried it??

I'd think it might work. The top left lug on the mercury box is just a Bias circuit to connect the two boxes and make them work as one unit so that eliminates a wire.
