I've seen tons of it.
Just read last night that our government is moving forward w/approving 15% ethanol too.
The boating industry appealed the decision but the government said they weren't able to prove it had done damage @ 10%!!!!!!!!!!
If that doesn't prove how crooked our government is, nothing does. All thanks to some REALLY well paid corn lobbyists!I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

I put new grey lines on my Tower and thought I had my problem solved. Guess I'm lucky I didn't melt it too. Inner liner collapsed on new line with non-E gas. All black line now and no problems.

We use a lot of hose in 2008 we bought a 500 foot roll of 3/8 and 5/16 had rigged several boats and sold a lot started having problems after about a month. Had to re rig al the boats and try to think of all the people we sold it to. Have had problems with most of the lined hose.

Even that high dollar ethanol resistant black hose with green writing will come apart inside. It would be best to keep an eye on any type hose while running that 10 or 15% crap. I`m gonna try some plastic fuel line and see how it holds up. I know it gets stiff when 100% methanol is run through it but still keeps it`s shape without leaking. I don`t know how it will react to this government ethocrap.

They say 10% but it is been higher long ago! Last we tested here was 17%....

Do autos use any hose in their fuel supply? I mean modern cars/trucks run on ethanol for years and years without any hose problems.. I run ethanol in my cars and never have had a hose problem ever...
Is the entire system steel tubing in a car? I assume there has to be hose somewhere to let it deal with binding/ vibration.

I've seen people replace everything on their motor before finding the liner hoses collapsing. Bad stuff. I like the new Merc silver line, with a BRP bulb.

it's pretty obvious to tell, pull apart connection at barb and look inside hose, you will see that the inner liner has been pushed back seperating from the outer hose, it will clog up line and obstruct flow, look at more than one connection to be shure...the older the hose the greater the chance, mine was brand new, less than a month old with fuel thru it...
