JASPER 2014 ( 1st time behind the wheel in 10yrs)
JASPER 2014 (1st time to drive a race boat in 10 yrs)
many thanks to all that helped me get my ALLISON ready to run at jasper, thanks to Monty Skinner for building me a set of drag plates and supplying the fuel adapter, thanks to Shane Stovall for helping me put the allison in the water for the first time and letting me try his bad ass drag prop( which is for sale now).................... thanks to Brendon Powers for building me a killer super stock 260.
my first run saturday was the 1st 1/4 mile run in the allison, my first time behind the wheel in 10 yrs,, no set up time, no prop testing, no motor adjusting,, just run as i brung..........not a bad day considering my motor was extremely low and the ecu was extremely high ( very conserative)........but i had fun and left alot out there....
thanks to all the guys that helped me through the weekend, and thanks to tim for feeding us some great ribs ....
wanted to run sunday , made alot of changes to the boat, but the rain, and selling the complete motor made the decision for me.........hard to live with but it was the right call..........i had fun......and who knows...with the tweaking i made sunday morning....well we will never know.........but had a blast anyway........
ive always loved jasper,, ive always had a deep appreciation towards the people that help put it on.......its the greatest show on earth in my book.........never let it die!.......keep supporting it.
who knows.... i may be back!!!!!!!Last edited by harmon431; 10-24-2014 at 10:26 AM.

Chris here are a couple pictures I had taken during your run. I went through all that I took and these are the two best. Enjoy, Kevin.

thats first pic is one of the best ive seen, great job.........we need more jasper photos posted here just to let everyone see how cool it really was..
it did take balls to make that first pass, especially since i havent driven an allison for over 15yrs......but the setup was very very conserative just to be on the safe side,,,,,,i made alot of adjustments for sundays race but never got a chance to race ( sold the powerhead and gearcase)
the allison is for sale, the boat speaks for itself , it is one of the fastest allisons in the country and the rigging is flawless as are the bottom modifications.........fully rigged minus powerhead and gearcase,,,,,,still has 6 gal of race fuel from jasper in the tank..and 4-yamaha drag props ..205-965-8638 if anyone has any questions or wants to start racing,,,,,i will be glad to help
