Damn right! I still got 4 ammo boxes here stacked here full, 22, 357, 38, 44, shot gun, etc. as used to belong IRA.(back in Illinois) shooting comp. Damn as back then a friend with a FFL sold out his house. How about SKS for $45!. And 7.62 ammo UPSed we had to pick up. 2000 round wood box, super cheap. And on price increase "armed" guns now? Damn insane. Bought a Mossberg shot gun combo, 12g, long and short barrel, long stock and pistol grip.$145 out the door. Then bought a Taurus pistol, wheel gun .22, 9 shot, $65 new. Guy here offered me $500 to sell? Said "nope" Also the first Colt "Anaconda" 44 mag wheel gun. Think about $300. But its NFS.
Plus I did the shooting match for a chance to qualify for a surplus M1 Garand. Got it for $150 shipped me.
"Sportsman Guide"..think, mail order back then had for $45 shipped surplus "Mousers", and the carbine I kept was a 100 yard "plinker" that with iron sites? 6 inch groups!
Sold a lot guns when moved west, and kept the best. Retired now, so back into spring action pellet rifles for fun. Kinda funny too as this morning ...?...I don't have a RED RYDER BB gun! Next me buying anything will be a "Paint ball" gun! Last time (and first, as 10 years out of Nam), in the woods paint balling? Guess who won?
Plus ya want "knock down power"? Paint balls overnite in the freezer! Lotta fun! But the Ruger 10-22 is still "tits".

For you guys having a hard time finding 22 ammo, go to brassbadger.com. It is a website that checks availability at your local WalMart based on your zipcode.
WalMart still sells at regular prices. I have gained a little over 7,000 rounds in a matter of about 2 months using this website for my WalMart.

Love the Marlin's! And on "pimping" a 10-22? Damn, anything ya want. Friend here has one, all new plastic assault style stock that really knocks the weight off, and we both have the 50 round mags. But jam full, so stick 25-30 rounds in...lotta fun! (Bring a Amozan drone delivery over my house? Wing it with the spring action .177 pellet rifle, or..well, ya know. Nice "catch".

HA! Hung out with all the crazy southern boys in Nam as they were fearless crazy anyway, so Nam no big deal to us. Me being from ChiTown burbs, guns were the norm too. Here now PNW, seems if ya aint a shooter or hunter, well..ya probably a Fisherman! Place is kinda dead here now too..seems EVERYONE out in the woods, and many its the only time I see the RV's moved as there parked the hunting camps! Pic my buddy Rick and wife. He can hunt anything, as she. He can butcher, and shes from Minn, and one hell of a cook too. Plus his regular 9-5 job, plays bass in a CCR tribute band. Talented, and hell of a nice couple too!
